Green Light for Environmental Project
It was always part of the vision of Andrew Tuxworth to create a holiday destination which would allow visitors to the Lincolnshire Wolds to enjoy the beauty of the environment, whilst keeping the impact of the business on the area to an absolute minimum.
We are now delighted that permission has been given for the building of 10 Eco-Lodges at Flintwood Farm which we hope will be ready for use in 2008.
Sustainable Self Catering
The new Eco Lodges will incorporate rainwater collection systems and reed-bed treatment of waste water.
There will be a full utilisation of sustainable resources including wind and solar power generation as well as the use of wood-chip technology for both power and heating.
We are delighted that our efforts towards providing environmentally friendly holidays has been recognised by the Green Tourism Business Scheme, who recently awarded us Silver status for our exisitng holiday accommodation. Naturally, we shall be working towards that all-important Gold Standard in the future.
