For the first time, Cadwell Park will host two rounds of the MCE British Superbike Championship this year as part of its impressive 2010 event line-up.
The Louth circuit already attracts more than 45,000 spectators each year for its annual BSB ‘Party in the Park’ event over August Bank Holiday, which features the spectacular sight of riders becoming airborne when they tackle the infamous ‘Mountain’ section.
This year, bike racing fans will have the chance to enjoy a second dose of BSB action when Cadwell Park hosts round four of the championship on 21/22/23 May, as well as its traditional Bank Holiday meeting on 28/29/30 August.
The Modified Live performance tuned car festival will also make its Cadwell Park debut on 1 August, showcasing the UK ’shottest modified cars and latest tuning products. This interactive event for car enthusiasts will include racing, demonstrations, grid girls, drifting, passenger rides and a huge exhibition area.
Cadwell Park is offering more events than ever this year, with 36 race meetings between March and November. The season begins with racing from the Auto 66 Motorcycle Club on 20/21 March and concludes with Norasport’s dirt-scrambling Supermoto Championships on 6/7 November, featuring two and four wheeledracing from both historic and modern machinery along the way.
Other highlights include a journey to the golden age of motorsport at the Vintage Sports Car Festival on 19 June, where spectators can enjoy racing from machinery dating back to the 1920s.
Cadwell Park will also host one of only three UK Grands Prix when it welcomes the BSA British Superkart GP on 17/18 July, plus there will be classic bike racing from the Vintage Motorcycle Club (VMCC) on 25/26 September.
