Activities on Flintwood Farm
With 170 acres of grounds, it is perfectly possible to retreat from the outside world, and spend your whole stay taking in the views, watching the wildlife and just soaking up the peaceful atmosphere of this very special part of the Lincolnshire Wolds. To help get you into the mood for relaxation we have a jacuzzi and sauna, for residents' use, or you might like to book in for one of our range of holistic therapy treatments.
We offer our residents exclusive access to our fishing lakes, where you can fish for Carp or Trout in tranquil surroundings.
For the artistically inclined, there is an abundance of opportunities for photography and artistic expression.

Once you have explored the Farm. you may decide to venture slightly further afield. There is a wealth of tracks and pathways to explore, and you may wish to take advantage of one of our guided walks where you will gain a fascinating insight into the local area.
The viking way joins the farm, and many routes are suitable for mountain bikes. We also have plenty of room to accommodate your horse if you wanted to take advantage of the many bridleways in the locality.
Slightly further afield ..
Within easy reach of Poachers Hideaway are the historic market towns of Louth and Alford. Alternatively, you might want to browse the many antique shops which are to be found in Horncastle. You could enjoy a round or two of golf at the championship standard golf course in Woodhall Spa (home of the unique 'Kinema in the Woods'), or if you need a break from relaxation, there's always motor racing at Cadwell Park. An alternative golf and racing combination can be found at Market Rasen, the main venue for horse racing in Lincolnshire.
There is a wealth of historical interest in and around Lincolnshire. There is a National Trust nature reserve at Gibraltar Point and properties at Gunby Hall and Belton House. Of course, no holiday in Lincolnshire would be complete without a visit to Lincoln cathedral and its surroundings.
